Access Bars

There are 32 energy points on our heads that, when gently touched, activate the electromagnetic components of thoughts, beliefs, decisions, and points of view accumulated over a lifetime, allowing energies to flow more freely. Connections that hold old and unnecessary beliefs, thoughts, decisions, and emotions are broken, and all obstacles are removed easily and effortlessly during an Access Bars session.

Consciousness is something each of us possesses and does not require courses or training. Consciousness does not exist where there are fixed points of view, conclusions, judgments, or distinctions.

Access includes body processes and verbal tools designed to increase awareness without judging anything.

How Access Bars Work

Access Bars consists of 32 points on the head that, when gently touched, release old energies stuck in the brain and body, allowing for change.

A Bars session typically lasts 60-90 minutes, although it can vary, and it is always beneficial, even if it lasts only 20 minutes.

Bars sessions are usually conducted lying down, but if lying down is difficult, you can sit in a chair or use a recliner.


There are no contraindications to using this technique. The creators of Access Consciousness®, Gary Douglas and Dr. Dain Heer, have said that the worst thing that can happen during an Access Bars session is feeling like you’ve had the best head massage of your life. But at best, depending on how much you are willing to let go and receive, your whole life can change.

Useful to Know

Once you have had an Access Bars session, the Bars continue to “work” or release stuck energy. The effect becomes even stronger after each session. The biggest changes can be noticed 3-4 weeks after the session.

How often to have sessions depends entirely on the individual. How good do you want to feel? Most people like to have Bars done once a week or whenever they feel stressed or grumpy. After any major trauma or energetic shift, Bars are very beneficial.

Interesting Facts from Science

Research by leading neuroscientist Dr. Jeffrey Fannin and others involving 60 participants studied the neurological effects of Access Bars. Measuring brain waves before and after Bars sessions, the study showed that 85% of participants experienced an increase in brain coherence. Additionally, it was found that Access Bars has a positive neurological impact similar to advanced meditation, delivering these results immediately.

Research by Dr. Terrie Hope PhD, DNM, CFMW, published in the November 2017 issue of the Journal of Energy Psychology: Theory, Research, and Treatment, showed that a single 90-minute Access Bars® session significantly reduced the severity of depression and anxiety.
